Malr1ne on the victory over Virtus.pro at DreamLeague Season 29: “That match was the start of a snowball effect.”

Team Falcons mid laner Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, in an interview at DreamLeague Season 29, summarized the match against GamerLegion and commented on his team’s performance in the group stage of the online tournament.
On the decision to pick Lone Druid on the first map against GamerLegion
No, it wasn’t intentional. We had a plan, we stuck to it, but we tried to pull it off one more time, and it didn’t seem to work. So we just decided: “Alright, let’s not break our winning streak; we want to keep it going.”
On whether the team expected this result in the DL 29 group stage
To be honest, I’m in shock myself. So I can’t answer that question, because even though I’d been training up to that point... Well, I won’t say anything bad, but I’ll put it this way: it didn’t look like we’d go 7-0 in the group. We still had some work to do; we needed to keep moving forward and grow as a team and individually. But I didn’t expect us to get through so easily.
The first day was probably the worst because that was the toughest series of all—against Virtus.pro. I think the thing is, Virtus.pro really tried hard to beat us, and at the same time, we were, as usual, a little “drunk,” so to speak. We just needed time to get into shape, and we were able to beat them. That match served as the start of a snowball effect.
On expectations for the DL 29 performance
We don’t have any expectations. As I already said and as you mentioned, we haven’t had the best results in recent months—you could say for the past six months. Right now, we’re just enjoying the time we’re spending together and the fact that we’re winning. And we just want to keep this going. But at the same time, we have no expectations: we know we can easily lose, and that would mean there’s a real problem that we’ll try to solve.
During the group stage of DreamLeague Season 29, the players from the Middle Eastern club lost on only three maps—against Virtus.pro, Team Spirit, and GamerLegion. Tomorrow at 1:00 PM, Team Falcons will face the winner of the BetBoom Team vs. PlayTime match in a single-elimination game.
