Dukalis on Clockwerk: “There aren’t that many good heroes against him.”

I was watching the other group. It seems to me that Team Falcons, Team Spirit, and Aurora Gaming are performing well there. I saw that Team Liquid is also in the upper bracket, but I haven’t watched many of their games. And in our group, PlayTime is probably the best team.

I think he’s a good hero because they added damage reduction to one of his abilities, so you can hold the lane well, and since the previous patch, you can see enemies if you hit them through trees. So yeah, the character looks solid.

[Clockwerk gets banned a lot—is he an overpowered hero?] He’s definitely stronger than before because it’s easier to land his “gears” now, and that’s basically it. And there aren’t that many good heroes to counter him—Lycan and Enigma are decent options, but they aren’t as powerful as Beastmaster. It’s easy to pick Clockwerk in any matchup and have a solid lane.

It’s always been that way, but right now there aren’t many good melee heroes for the semi-support role. Tusk got nerfed, and Tiny was removed from the meta entirely, so we need someone to start fights...
