Sharks Esports defeated 9z Team in their first match at Stake Ranked Episode 2

Sharks Esports proved stronger than 9z Team in their debut match at the Stake Ranked Episode 2 tournament.

The first map, Inferno, ended with a close score in favor of Sharks Esports—13-11. On the second map, Overpass, 9z Team pulled ahead and closed it out 16-13 in overtime. The decisive map, Nuke, went to the Brazilians—13-11.

As a result, Sharks Esports advanced through the upper bracket and will face Ninjas in Pyjamas. 9z Team, on the other hand, dropped down and will fight to avoid elimination from the event.

Stake Ranked Episode 2 is taking place over four days—from May 27 to 30 in Barcelona. The tournament kicked off directly with the playoffs, which use a double-elimination system. Eight teams are participating in the tournament, and its total prize pool is $100,000.
