Pimp: “When it comes to pure AWP skill, I’d say m0NESY is the best in the world.”

Journalist Duncan “Thorin” Shields and analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneke discussed the influence of Finn “karrigan” Andersen on Team “m0NESY” Falcons, Ilya Osipov’s level of play, and Natus Vincere’s potential at the upcoming Major.
Thorin: karrigan and his team’s performance at the last Major was one of the most incredible of all time. Yes, people might look at FaZe Clan’s roster at that tournament and decide it looked very strong, but that was only on paper. I still haven’t the faintest idea how that roster managed to achieve such a result. Seriously: sometimes it seems to me that karrigan is a magician with a special aura or a magical lucky charm. That said, I don’t think he comes up with strategies that are ten times better than kyxsan’s. On the contrary, the former captain had everything in order in that regard; he’s good. If we listen to the Dane’s interview, we’ll hear everyone talking about his incredible strength in calls during the middle and end of rounds. And it’s really that simple because he’s seen a million games and outcomes. He’s not the type to be afraid. karrigan knows perfectly well: in the end, you try and either win or lose, because he’s had to go through all of this countless times. But the most important and coolest thing for me in this interview is watching kyousuke and m0NESY, who are literally beaming. You can tell by looking at them that they look up to their leader and believe: the impossible is possible.
Pimp: When it comes to pure AWP skill, I’d say m0NESY is the best in the world. ZywOo does a ton of other things at Vitality; he’s part of the team’s system and plays the standard rifle at a much higher level than the Russian. There is nothing controversial about this statement, because when m0NESY is on a roll, he is unstoppable and provides a massive advantage for his team. I believe that we, as analysts, should take note of this, because he is delivering results in an era when everyone else is struggling with the sniper rifle. <…>
These days, everyone has learned to use flashbangs more effectively, and as a sniper, you’re being flushed out of position much more often with flashbangs and other tools. On top of that, the transition from the old version of the game to CS2 seems to have changed the AWP’s mechanics, yet m0NESY, by all accounts, possesses the ability to simply ignore these factors. Regardless of the number of grenades flying his way, he still manages to remain effective and influence the outcome of the match even under the most challenging conditions for a player in his role in the entire history of CS.
Pimp: First and foremost, it’s worth noting that NAVI has managed to build a foundation that will allow it to remain one of the most stable teams. On top of everything else, it has B1ad3, who, in my personal opinion, is the number one coach in the world right now. He will be able to help the roster significantly, especially during a Major, when there is plenty of time for individual preparation against each opponent. The guys won’t have to play two matches a day; there’s no chance they’ll show up to a match unprepared, and the coach will guide the team in every other aspect—and that’s the deciding factor. Right now, all the top teams are improving: Team Spirit, Team Falcons—we’re seeing this trend, but in my opinion, “Born to Win” became stronger a little earlier than the rest. That’s exactly why we can now call this team the second-best in the world after Team Vitality.
Earlier in the podcast, journalist Duncan “Thorin” Shields and analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneke discussed Team Vitality’s loss at IEM Atlanta 2026, as well as assessed Team Spirit’s recent results and compared them to Natus Vincere.
